Increasing tourist numbers in European countries are resulting in overcrowding and chaos. In the last few months, many European counties like Germany, the UK, and Lithuania have seen immense growth in tourists. The summer season was hard for European airlines because of the sudden increase in tourist numbers, and shortage of working staff.




Now recently, Spain has also seen exponential growth in tourists which is resulting in overcrowding. To avoid such a situation and promote sustainable tourism, the Spain government has introduced restrictions for some of the famous and most visited public attractions.

In the latest interview Pau Monasterio, a spokesperson for Ecologist in Action said “Natural environments have to be protected against massive tourism that can degrade them, with regulations that allow their enjoyment, but also guarantee conservation”.
