2. South Outdoor Festival
The South Outdoor Festival is located along the Albanian Riviera in Borsh, in a beautiful venue in southern Albania (and one of my favorites!). This festival combines tradition, food and celebrates Albanian culture. This festival lasts for 4 days and is in Borsh this year, in a beautiful location along the Albanian Riviera and one of my favorite places! Borsh is famous for having the longest stretch of coastline in Albania. There is also an impressive amount of olive groves and a castle that the average tourist often misses. The event is held in the olive groves and this should not be missed if you want to learn more about Albanian culture and relax in a beautiful place.

3. Unum Festival
This three-day festival celebrates music in beautiful Shëngjin, Lezhe District (Northern Albania). This music festival lasts 3 days and 3 nights 24 hours a day. There will be more than 50 international and local acts. This popular summer festival in Albania is held in Rana e Hedhun, famous for its beautiful sand dunes! “The Unum Festival is characterized by five simple elements of life; music, sand, pines, sea, and mountains. The golden beach of Rana e Hedhun is the place where the festival hosts 50 international and local performances over 3 days and 3 nights.

4. Anjunadeep Explorations
This famous summer festival in Albania does not only focus on music but also has a wellness center where you can do yoga, beach massage and focus on your well-being. It’s a 5-day festival in Dhermi, one of the hotspots on the Albanian Riviera. Thanks to its beautiful beaches and nearby attractions, Dhermi is fast becoming a tourist mecca. 5. Gjirokastër Folk Festival
This particular festival is not as common as the others as it is held every four years, in September. Still, it’s a pretty big affair, the first in 1968. The Gjirokaster Folk Festival is full of music, dances, performances, and art from all over the Balkan region and many international performers take the stage. UNESCO recognizes this most popular summer festival in Albania because of its cultural heritage roots and can be sure that there is a huge crowd in the sun.

6. Tomato Festival
As vague as it may sound, the Paradise Festival is a very popular annual event that takes place in September in the village of Shëngjergj. The village is only a short distance from the capital of Tirana, but the road through the beautiful Priska Pass is majestic. You can enjoy local traditions and cultural performances, as well as plenty of delicious locally grown food, including tomatoes! Check out the folk dance and music, and you’ll also find plenty of little things and handmade souvenirs to take home.

7. Kruja Mountain Festival
In August, you can enjoy the Kruja Mountain Festival, which certainly has a high radius from which you can enjoy the scenery! This pilgrimage, made by a wide variety of religions throughout the country, visits the mountain cave where many miracles are said to have taken place. You can walk up the mountain if you feel energetic, or you can drive up instead. The view is amazing, so make sure you have plenty of space on your camera’s memory card.
