Travel Updates in Ireland during Covid-19

• According to the current guidelines, all passengers arriving in Ireland must complete a COVID-19 Passenger Locator Form (PLF) to travel further in the country. 
• Arriving passengers must also carry the negative/‘not detected’ result from a pre-departure only acceptable. COVID-19 RT-PCR test (taken 72 hours prior to arriving in Ireland) 
• Passenger’s COVID-19 test result will be checked before boarding onto the airplane or ferry; it’ll also serve as evidence to immigration officers at points of entry to the State. So don’t slacken up with this procedure. 
• Children aged six or below will be absolved from this requirement hence of test results currently Ireland.
• Home quarantine is legally subjected to all the passengers arriving in Ireland.

• Effective from 26 March 2021, passengers who have either passed or resided in ‘Category 2’ countries in the previous 14 days, are legally ordered to first stay at a designated Mandatory Hotel Quarantine. 
• Passengers must pre-book a place in the designated facility at their personal expense prior to arrival in Ireland. The quarantine hotel booked will act as evidence in order to board the airplane.

• Passengers arriving in Northern Ireland are subjected to a full 10-day period of self-isolation or quarantine currently.
• Anyone arriving in Northern Ireland apart from Common Travel Areas (the UK, Republic of Ireland, Isle of Man, and the Channel Islands) must:

-Provide evidence of a negative COVID-19 test result taken three days prior to departure;

-Provide all the essential journey and contact details via Passenger Locator Form (PLF);

– Must self-isolate for 10 days (where the day of arrival in Northern Ireland will be counted as day zero); and

-Must book a Day 2 & 8 test kit, if transiting from non ‘red listed’ countries.

-Effective from 16 April, more strict measures are subjected onto the travelers who transited from, or passed through, a ‘red list’ country, in the last 10 days before arrival in Northern Ireland.

• Passengers who visit Northern Ireland from the Republic of Ireland must complete a UK Passenger Locator Form to enter the other side of the country.
