In four limestone karst areas, the Lastourville Caves are located by caves and sinkholes which are landscapes characterized on the shores of the Ogooue River. Inside the Ogooue Valley, the Kaya-Kaya Rock Art site is located on a small tributary known also as the Missitigui River. By Franceville, a mining company, it was first discovered in the course of its uranium exploration in the area. Bearing about 30 motifs, the site contains oblong blocks of sandstones. On phallus-shaped rocks, you will also find vulva-like motifs engraved.
