In Which year was the Eiffel Tower built?

Eiffel Tower was constructed between 1887-89, as it was properly built-in 1889, it was criticized by most of the French people. They describe it as useless and monstrous. And one of the most important things is that it was made for a temporary time period, i.e. only for 20 years.
