2. Statue Of Liberty, New York

The statue of Liberty is located in Upper New York Bay on Liberty Island. It is a symbol of freedom and democracy and revolutionary structure. 4. White House

In 1792, President George Washington chose the site of  the White House and supervised construction at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue  from that time it is known as the official residence of the president of the United States of America. James Hoban architects this mansion that was not finished until 1800, so Washington is the only president who never lived in the White House and it is a very strange fact about this popular monument in the USA. The Britishers burned the building having 132-rooms in 1814 during the War. The rooms are for public functions on the first floor, and the second and third floors are used as the residence of the president and first family. 5. Devils Postpile National Monument

Devils Postpile National Monument is home to one of nature’s most curious geological spectacles just a few miles outside Mammoth Lakes. This important monument in the USA formed when molten lava cracked as it cooled. Some 10,000 years ago, the mostly six-sided columns were exposed when glaciers scoured the valley during the last ice age. Similar columnar basalt is found in Ireland and Scotland. The monument is open only from summer to early fall because of its high elevation (7,900 ft.) and heavy snowfall. Afternoon thundershowers are common but summer weather is usually clear and warm. Nights are cold, so bring good tents and sleeping bags if you’re camping. All those beautiful lakes attract lots of mosquitoes, unfortunately.

6. Capitol Building

Capitol Building was used to be a place where Congress meets and conducts business and it is located on the east end of the Mall. In 1792, construction of the building started and until this popular landmark in the USA was finished in 1865 its design was modified several times. A 180-foot-high cast iron dome of the Great Rotunda is the Capitol’s most recognizable feature, the Capitol Building is also a vast artistic treasure house in addition to its historical association. The works of such famous artists as Rembrandt Peale, John Trumbull and Gilbert Stuart are displayed on the walls. With a massive fresco by Constantino Brumidi, the Great Rotunda is decorated. 7. Art Deco Historic District

The Art Deco Historic District is worth a trip out to Miami Beach even if you have no interest in the beach. 8. Thomas Jefferson Memorial

Using his own home-made tools, the Coral Castle is the result of one man’s 28 years of carving. 11. World War II Memorial
